March Madness

So we have arrived in March…God how time flies!

I have decided to create a 30 Day Challenge called #MadMarch – with the hope to encourage more people to get moving, fit and healthy. So Day 1 was yesterday and we completed this little workout:

As I am still in training for my half marathon, which is occurring this SUNDAY, but I am still committing to the challenge with the hope of supporting not only those who want to get a bit fitter, but also my own customer and clients.

Three months into the new year and I can imagine the majority of us have given up on healthy eating, given up on our new years resolutions and have just slipped back into old habits. Well not me! This year is going to be a big year. So, motivation is low and fitness is slowly decreasing, now it’s important more than ever to stay focused and keep on track. I worked out it is only 16 weeks until SUMMER, therefore now is the perfect time to start getting your body into shape. Don’t wait until summer is already here.

Feel free to join my challenge – Head over to my Facebook page for more information.

One of the biggest problems for me is motivation – If the weather is nasty outside, I give in. If I’ve sat down and got comfy, I give in. If I’m feeling tired, I give in. I know I’m not the only one, we are so easily persuaded by either ourselves or others to give in. You have got to learn to re-train your brain! The best time to do something, anything, is when you don’t feel like it because they more you start doing it the easier it will become and those thoughts will stop occurring. As you know from my last blog, I was bordering on giving in but I didn’t and I am so glad for it. So coming from personal experience it works!! Just do it. There are so many workouts you can even do from the comfort of your home, whilst watching your favourite TV program, but no-one can make you but yourself.

You have got to want it more than you want that cheeky snack or packet of crisps, more than 10 mins on the sofa, more than catching up with the latest episode of Corrie.

I only ever look back to see how far I have come. I used to be overweight, miserable, moody and depressed and so on. Well as soon as I started making a change and started feeling the benefits there was no way I was going back to how I used to feel and that is what motivates me. I see girls going up and down with their weight like it’s fashion, and they are always complaining, but when I try to talk to them I get all the excuses under the sun. Basically they just don’t want it enough. All I can say is find your why…and make it one that sticks.

I have been enjoying my healthy living and lifestyle, not to mention my Juice Plus products now for almost 3 years… I am not going to lie, yes I still have take aways (on occasion), yes I still enjoy chocolate and crisps (on occasion) but at the end of the day, I will not let one ‘bad’ day ruin it. My weight has fluctuated a little bit here and there, but that depends on me and it’s not about weight, it’s about how you feel and being happy with how you look. Juice Plus plays a huge part in my life and I will always enjoy reaping the benefits of flooding my body with over 30 varieties of fruits and vegetables daily. Not only is it important to include a wide range of fruits and vegetables into our diets but it is important that they are whole food and raw. Juice Plus allows me to achieve this, easily and conveniently and anything else I eat on top is extra, but just not as nutritious due to modern day life.

It’s that simple.
